Call for Volunteers for WordCamp Retreat Soltau<\/h3>\n

We\u2019d like to motivate you to become active in the WordPress community. Become part of a team of volunteers who help bring the project forward. Volunteering at WordCamps is one of many wonderful opportunities to return something to WordPress and its great community.<\/p>\n

The countdown to a completely new type of WordCamp has started. We can hardly wait to meet you in Soltau: we are looking forward to an instructive and exciting event in the middle the wonderful L\u00fcneburger Heath, together with the WordPress community.<\/p>\n

But we can’t do this without your help. We need volunteers, lots of volunteers, to be precise.<\/strong> We want to make WordCamp Retreat an inclusive, affordable and welcoming event. And that’s exactly what we need you for!<\/p>\n

Show pioneering spirit and become part of a team of volunteers to realize this new project. Volunteering at WordCamps is one of many wonderful opportunities to give back to the WordPress project and its great community.<\/p>\n

What we expect from you<\/h3>\n

We need lots helping hands. Your attention and support in the work that has to be accomplished during the WordCamp are indispensable for the main goal of the event: attendees, speakers and sponsors spending a nice time in Soltau.<\/p>\n

But we care about the welfare of our volunteers as well: we want you to spend a wonderful time in Soltau too! Therefore, we try to limit the shift (s<\/strong>) of volunteers to a maximum of 4 to 6 hours<\/strong>. This will only be possible if we find enough helping hands. Together we are strong!
\nWe are of course very happy if you would like to donate more of your time spontaneously, but this will not be a requirement.<\/p>\n

  • Bring across your enthusiasm to the community and welcome the participants with your brightest smile. You are the friendly face of WordCamp Retreat<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Make people happy, hand them their special #WCRETREAT swag<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Let the WordCamp live on and work with the video team (WordPress TV)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Motivate our speakers, workshop and activity leaders and sponsors on site and be available as a contact person<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Help the Orga team and participants with other tasks<\/strong> that occur during the WordCamp.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Get a glimpse behind the scenes<\/strong> of the organisation and learn how to organize a big event. This could be your first step to becoming a WordCamp organizer or speaker.<\/li>\n

      • You’ll be part of a great team<\/strong> and will be helping to make WordCamp retreat a wonderful, affordable, inclusive and accessible experience for everyone.<\/li>\n
