Thorsten is a certified PHP engineer, web development professional and tester. He is working in the web since 2000, and with (and on) WordPress since 2005. Thorsten is a Senior WordPress Engineer at Human Made. Thorsten created several plugins and other projects, and contributed to open source projects. He is an advocate of object-oriented design, and software testing. Thorsten loves WordCamps, where he likes to both gain and share knowledge.

Lucas Prigge

Lucas arbeitet seit 10 Jahren mit WordPress. Als Benutzer hat er diverse WordPress-Webseiten gebaut, worunter einen beliebten Niederländischen Blog über vegane Ernährung.

Lucas benutzt diese Erfahrung auch um Kunden bei Savvii, Europa’s erster spezialisierter WordPress Hoster, als Accountmanager zu helfen. Seine Hauptkompetenzen mit WordPress umfassen Geschwindigkeit, Sicherheit, und Geschäftsmodelle entwickeln.

Taco Verdonschot

When Taco joined Yoast in 2013, he had hardly worked with WordPress, so joining ‚a WordPress company‘ was a true adventure. Only weeks later, Yoast sent Taco to his very first WordCamp: WordCamp Europe in Leiden, where he made a ton of new friends. The love for the WordPress community was instant, and never faded away. The more WordCamps and meetups Taco attended and spoke at, the bigger his love became. This lead to him joining the organizing teams of WordCamp The Netherlands in 2016, and WordCamp Europe’s in 2017. In 2017, he became the lead organizer of the first WordCamp Nijmegen.

Meanwhile at Yoast, he grew from doing Customer Support alone to leading a distributed team of amazing Support Engineers. With his team, he aims to provide the best experience to all those customers who help to grow the company that brought him so much.

The Open Source mindset at Yoast really affected the way Taco views the world around him, and encouraged him to ‚give back‘ even more. Aiming for the Victory of the Commons encouraged Taco to join the WordPress Polyglots team, and later the Community team.

In the spare free time, you can find Taco with his family, on his trials bike, organizing computer events (LAN parties) or working as a First Aider at festivals.

Kat Christofer

Kat is a California native working for Automattic, writing and editing documentation for WooCommerce core and 150+ extensions and payment gateways. Previously she was a journalist and served as technical editor for airline software. Her WordPress journey began in 2007 at WP.com, then moved to self-hosted and building e-commerce stores for private clients. A digital nomad for two years, she travels full time and is in love with the sea but surfs badly.

Bernhard Kau

Bernhard ist fest angestellter Webentwickler, entwickelt in seiner Freizeit Plugin, schreibt in seinem Blog über WordPress und andere Themen, treibt sich gerne bei den WP Meetups in Berlin und Potsdam herum und läuft nach Feierabend den ein oder anderen Halbmarathon.

Maja Benke

Maja hat Landschaftsarchitektur studiert, dann aber ihre Liebe zu WordPress und zum Reisen entdeckt. Nun arbeitet sie als Webdesignerin, contributet fließig zu WordPress und schreibt in ihrem Blog über WordPress, während sie die Welt bereist – am liebsten natürlich zu WordCamps.

Laura Herzog

Laura ist seit einem knappen Jahrzehnt in der WordPress-Community aktiv. Als Hardcore Entwicklerin hat sie bereits bei WordPress Deutschland und Inpsyde gearbeitet. Heute arbeitet sie beim Ebner Verlag, der für die Magazine PAGE und Gitarre & Bass bekannt ist. Sie kennt sich bestens im Core aus, weiß um die WordPress Architektur und beherrscht das Backend. Um den Geist nicht rein technisch zu fordern ist sie auch Ansprechpartnerin für Mental Health.

Felix Arntz

Felix ist Freelancer und WordPress Core-Committer und fokussiert sich seit einigen Jahren auf Kundenlösungen und Plugins. Er ist Backend-Developer und kennt sich vor allem mit Multisite-Umgebungen aus.
Auf der Open-Source-Seite ist er stark in die Core-Entwicklung involviert, als Core-Committer und Component Maintainer für Multisite, Capabilities und Post Thumbnails. Zudem schreibt er Plugins und Bibliotheken und legt dabei Wert auf saubere und nachhaltige Lösungen.

Wenn er nicht gerade mit WordPress beschäftigt ist, produziert er gerne Musik, und er spielt Klavier und Fußball. Während all dessen trinkt er gerne viel Mountain Dew.

Ich bin WordPress Entwickler und arbeite mit technischem SEO an Kundenprojekten. Große Leidenschaft finde ich in meinem Job wichtig und sie treibt mich jeden Tag aufs neue an. Meine liebe zu WordPress besteht schon seit vielen Jahren und reißt nicht ab. Zudem liebe ich gutes Design, Fotografie, gutes Essen.

Zudem unterstütze ich das WordPress Meetup Leipzig mit meiner Zeit und meinem Knowhow. Gemeinsam mit Robert (nullbyte) versuchen wir jeden Monat das Meetup weiterzuentwickeln.

Matthias ist Geschäftsführer eines IT-Dienstleistungsunternehmens in Köln und bietet seinen Kunden mit WP-Projects individuell zugeschnittene und WordPress optimierte Hosting- und Serverlösungen an.

Mit WordPress kam Matthias im Jahr 2007 als Technik-Blog- Redakteur in Berührung. Anfang 2016 ist er auf die WordPress Community aufmerksam geworden und engagiert sich mittlerweile in der Organisation der Meetups Köln, Bonn und Koblenz sowie diverser WordCamps, unter anderem in Soltau.

Andrey „Rarst“ Savchenko is a WordPress contractor from Kiev, Ukraine.
